We provide Repossession Services in NY.

Locations and Service Area

Our service area includes all of Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn: Nassau County, Suffolk County, Queens County and Kings County. Our storage yard is located in Oceanside, NY.

If your vehicle was repossessed

PRI recovers vehicles on assignment from lenders. We don't make the decision to repossess, and we cannot release a vehicle without your lender's authorization.

To get your vehicle back:

  1. Contact your lender first — the bank, credit union, or finance company on your loan. Payment arrangements, reinstatement, and redemption are all worked out with them; we have no information about your loan and no control over those terms.
  2. Your lender sends us release paperwork. Once you've reached an arrangement, your lender sends the release directly to us. We cannot schedule a pickup before that paperwork arrives.
  3. Then call us to schedule your appointment. Once we have your release, call 516-612-4999 — we'll set your appointment, confirm the documents to bring (photo ID), confirm any fees due at pickup, and provide the yard address.

About fees: depending on your lender's agreement, there may be fees to pay at the lot — some lenders cover them, others don't, and amounts differ. We have no fee information for your case until your release arrives; we'll confirm the exact amount when we schedule your appointment.

We know this is a stressful situation, but calling us before your lender has sent the release can't speed things up — the fastest path to your vehicle always starts with your lender.

Personal property retrieval is by appointment — call us to schedule a pickup.

Repossession inquiries

PRI provides vehicle repossession services, with in-house key cutting and programming for the vehicles we recover. Email is the fastest way to start. So we can confirm coverage and respond quickly, please include:

  • Your company details — we work with banks, credit unions, and lenders holding a security agreement on the vehicle
  • A phone number and email where we can reach you
  • The address where you believe the vehicle or debtor is located, so we can confirm it's within our coverage area
  • How you prefer to assign: RDN, MBSi, or secure email
